Just finished my first week of a three month contract in Sydney and it has been a real rollercoaster.  Leaving Wendy and David at the airport in Melbourne was one of the hardest things I have had to do in a long time.

After arriving in Sydney it seemed like I didn’t stop for the first three days.  Sorting out the apartment, getting to work, going to two different client sites two hours and half an hour out of Sydney.  Finding food and other sundries, finding the nearest supermarket, remembering to eat!

The apartment is not as good as I expected, but beggars can’t be choosers.  I think it will grow on me as I get used to it and add some extra comfort.

David and Wendy have skyped me every day.  It is amazing how much this technology makes it easier to be away from home even if we have nothing to say.  Just seeing the familiar faces is good.

Well, thats about it for the first week.  Snack and off to bed soon, have to get up for work in the morning.
