Ginger Crunch

Base
- 250 gram butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp ginger powder
Topping
- 2¼ cup icing sugar
- 80 gram butter
- 4 tsp ginger powder
- ¼ cup golden syrup
Preheat oven to 180° C
Grease and line a 20x30cm pan
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
stir in flours and ginger. Press into pan
Prick with a fork
Bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool
Heat syrup, butter, icing sugar and ginger in a saucepan for 3 minutes on low heat
Spread over cooled base
Allow to set and then slice
